The Conversation is an independent source of news and views from the academic and research community, delivered directly to the public. They approached us about designing the Shareholder Report for the U.S., with regard to look and feel of their Australian publication. They also wanted a way to get analytics on the report content to see where users were spending their time but also needed a hard copy version.
We determined that the best course of action was to design a print version, but also created a digital report that could be posted to their website and live for a period of time. This flexibility gave them the opportunity to fulfill their due diligence of providing a tactile report but also affords them to gain valuable analytics on the report, which will factor into the building and reorganizing content for the next version of the report.
The first phase of this project was to design and print the report for shareholder, partners etc. The design needed to follow established brand standards, but also be unique in design for the U.S. division. This was achieved by a more graphical approach in regard to infographics, iconography, etc.PRINTED REPORT
The second phase was the design & development of the digital report version. The design maintained brand while creating a more interactive and dynamic experience for the user. The benefit of having the digital version is the benefits of analytics to inspect where users spent their time, how many viewed it and from where etc.DIGITAL REPORT
